Our Story
Ken St. George - guitar, vocals, keyboards, mandolin
Ken owes his musical formative years to his older brother Kevin while growing up in England as Kevin played in bands during the Beatles era. Ken has been playing guitar in bands and writing songs for several decades ever since. You'll also finding him slide into playing some bass or keyboards and at least sneaking onto the drums at practice! He currently plays in classic long-time rock band Chubby's Allstars. Ken's history includes cover bands Oily Grey and High Tide during his college years. Also founding member of original rock band Rear Entry from the 80's of which he contributed original material that was recorded in L.A. by professional musicians. Since then he has continued to write and perform and finally decided to put his music out there and perform with a band behnd him. Hence, The Misguided Saints. With an acoustic and electric middle of the road rock sound and covers that sometimes get "misguided" you'll hear creative music that will move your feet and your soul. When not putting energy into music you'll find Ken as a psychotherapist in private practice, playing soccer and racquetball and enjoying life with his wife, son and daughter.
George Alfs - bass, vocals
George fell in love with bass, guitar and piano in LA as folk music was giving way to hippie rock. His rock/folk foundation expanded to include combo and big band jazz when he moved to the Bay Area to attend Santa Clara University. While he spent 27 years working at Intel, George always played music and explored new genres, such as musical theater and jazz fusion. George currently plays with rock cover bands Chubby's All Stars and The Misguided Saints as well as Synergy Jazz and NTJazz combos. George performs with the Top Shelf Big Band and the Serenaders 10-piece band and is on call with many local groups. George has done extensive studio work, both in LA and in the Bay Area, and has his own studio at his home in the hills above Santa Cruz. During the day George studies coastal mountain forestry and likes to swim, hike and ski. He can be reached at georgealfs@gmail.com
Randal Morris - lead guitar
His first musical influences started by playing trombone in elementary school then picking up guitar as a freshman in high school influenced by his friend who was the guitar player in the jazz band. Thanks to his older brother who was into the music of the 60's & 70's Cream, Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Iron Butterfly, 3 Dog Night, Deep Purple, Rare Earth to name a few ala 8 track player with pre-led pulsating speakers that their parents purchased, the music was deeply absorbed in his consciousness even though it wasn't until several years later he would engage with the axe and started a life long love for music exploration. He focused mainly on studio projects not performing live until joining Chubby's Allstars as his first official band in 2001 and has played with them ever since. Recently he has been performing at a local music venue on theme and open mic night jams as the house band guitarist covering many genres from folk to hard rock and all styles in between.
Peter Wallack - drums
Peter started playing drums in 4th grade, after he failed to make the chorus because his singing was so awful. Over the years he has played nearly every style of music including jazz, pop, rock, funk, big band, polka, dixie, and even a little punk rock. Peter gives huge credit to his great drum teachers Joe Vasile, Gary Chester, and Jason Lewis. Some notable performances include the San Jose Jazz festival with the Brian Ho trio, The Poblano Project, and the Swing Solutions Big Band, and musical theater shows with the Sunnyvale Community Players including The Wiz, Urinetown, and Jekyll & Hyde. Peter also teaches drumset at The Music School in Sunnyvale.
